Our Philosophy.
People in Beauty was created by Melanie Koroyan-Kopeikin in 2006. After an entire career in the professional beauty industry as a distributor and executive for several professional beauty product companies, she believed that there was an opportunity to serve the salon and spa professional at a more grass roots level with a renewed focus on training and business education. People in Beauty represents a carefully selected portfolio of brands that were designed by beauty professionals for beauty professionals. The genesis of the name of the company 'People in Beauty' came from the belief that people drive the success in salons and spas. Melanie's philosophy is PEOPLE FIRST, PRODUCT SECOND. Products are solutions to the needs of our clients that help them grow and prosper while changing the lives of their clients by making them feel beautiful and confident.
What the word 'professional' means to us.
Stylists, estheticians, nail technicians and massage therapists go to school to learn how to perform beauty services for their future clients. The "best of the best" continue to educate themselves throughout their careers in order to keep up with the latest most innovative techniques and product advancement. They are the experts in their field and this makes them professional. But what about products themselves? What makes them professional? Consumers and salon clients are constantly hit with media messages that tell them that beauty products, including boxed hair color on a drug store or grocery store shelf, will provide the same results that you get in a full service salon. Many of these brands even say their products are professional although they have never been used by a licensed professional in a professional salon or spa environment. At People in Beauty we believe that professional products are:
-Made of high quality ingredients that deliver on their promises and claims
-Offered exclusively in a professional environment where licensed professionals are available to offer advice and recommend the appropriate product and their uses to the client
-Not offered in a drug store, grocery store, or other mass outlet
-Committed to education and training and make sure that stylists and estheticians know how to use and prescribe the appropriate products for their client
-Diligent about their brand and proactively fight diversion
-Clear in their media message to consumers about the importance of professional products and services
